For decades, Air Supply has been responsible for wedding playlists, karaoke nights, and more than a few broken hearts. Now, the soft-rock duo is getting one of Hollywood’s highest honors.
Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock will receive the 2,859th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Oct. 8 at 6126 Hollywood Boulevard, where they will be honored in the Recording category.
Producer David Foster and former television host Pat Sajak are scheduled to speak during the ceremony, while iHeartMedia personality Lisa Foxx will serve as emcee.
The recognition arrives more than 50 years after the pair first met during rehearsals for the Australian touring production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 1975.

A love story measured in hit songs
Air Supply rose to international prominence with a string of hits that helped define soft rock in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Among their best-known songs are “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “Every Woman in the World,” “The One That You Love,” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.”
According to Billboard, the duo scored eight Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including the No. 1 single “The One That You Love.” Their breakthrough US hit, “Lost in Love,” reached No. 3, while the album of the same name remained on the Billboard 200 for two years.
The duo also matched The Beatles’ run of five consecutive Top Five singles and sold a combined 20 million copies of their first three international albums and their “Greatest Hits” collection.
Still supplying the hits
Far from being a nostalgia act, Air Supply continues to perform extensively.
The duo celebrated its 50th anniversary with a sold-out debut at Carnegie Hall in 2025 and continues to perform approximately 130 shows a year around the world.
In a statement, Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez praised the group’s enduring impact, saying Air Supply has created a musical legacy that has touched generations of fans worldwide.
A star decades in the making
The Walk of Fame ceremony is the latest milestone in a career that has stretched across five decades, multiple generations of listeners, and thousands of concerts.
Some artists have a hit song. Air Supply built a career out of them. And on Oct. 8, the duo behind some of pop music’s most enduring love songs will finally have its name written into Hollywood Boulevard.
