Multiple matches have been announced for the much anticipated follow-up to 2018’s all-women event “Evolution”, which is set for July 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The event was initially announced by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) last month, as it was scheduled following “Saturday Night’s Main Event” on July 12.
Sky challenges Ripley
During this week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw”, Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky challenged Rhea Ripley, stating that she was given the option to face anyone to defend her belt against.
“I want to defend (the belt) against the best, and that means defending against Rhea Ripley,” Sky told Ripley during a face-off.
“Iyo, I have nothing but respect for you. But I just want you to know that I will stop at nothing to get this (championship) back,” Ripley replied, as the two were part of a highly regarded triple-threat championship match during “WrestleMania 41”.
Ripley, a two-time world champion, further warned Sky that she asked for this, proceeding to accept the challenge.

Pearce, Aldis announce battle royal
“Raw” general manager Adam Pearce and “Smackdown” general manager Nick Aldis announced during the show that a battle royal will be held during “Evolution” where the winner will challenge for either the Women’s World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Women’s Championship at the “Clash in Paris” event on August 31.
“To honour the tradition of the first ‘Evolution,’ Nick and I have decided to host a battle royal, where the winner goes on to a championship match at ‘Clash in Paris’,” Pearce stated.
“Many women will enter ‘Evolution’, but only one will be left standing. She will go to Paris for the opportunity of a lifetime,” Aldis added.
The general managers did not specify how many women will participate in the match.
Perez, Rodriguez set to defend tag belts
Also during this week’s “Monday Night Raw”, Roxanne Perez officially joined the villainous faction, “Judgment Day”, as she replaced an injured Liv Morgan to compete alongside Raquel Rodriguez to defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship against three other teams in a fatal four-way tag team match at “Evolution”.
Morgan and Rodriguez were the reigning tag champions until the former was sidelined due to a shoulder injury.
Instead of vacating the belt, Pearce and Aldis decided to crown Perez as one half of the tag champions upon the request of “Judgment Day” member Finn Balor.
