Director Matt Reeves has revealed new The Batman Part II cast members ahead of the highly anticipated sequel.
Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan and Brian Tyree Henry are some of the fresh faces amongst the stacked ensemble.
Robert Pattinson, meanwhile, will return as Batman, with Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright and Andy Serkis also reprising their roles from the 2022 film.
New friends and foes
Reeves shared a series of posts on X confirming the new cast members while also teasing fans with images from the sequel.
Amongst many other roles, Johansson and Stan are both widely known for their superhero performances as Black Widow and Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Stan is set to reprise the role in the upcoming Avengers films after appearing in 2025’s Thunderbolts.
Henry also had a brief appearance in the blockbuster franchise, but he is more known for his characters in Donald Glover’s hit series Atlanta (2016-2022) and the recent Bullet Train (2022) remake.
Other new actors revealed include Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) and Sebastian Koch (Bridge of Spies).
Many of the new roles are rumoured to be attached to the character Harvey Dent, who is better known as the Batman villain ‘Two-Face’.

A much-needed sequel
The 2022 reboot offered an alternate take on the well-known Caped Crusader.
With Pattinson playing a brooding Bruce Wayne in his early days as Batman, the film mixed detective, action and thriller elements in an epic three-hour film.
Since release, it has amassed extremely positive feedback, and the film quickly gathered a cult following within the comic-book film community.
A spin-off series, The Penguin, then saw Farrell reprise his unrecogniseable role as the show’s villainous lead.
Despite The Penguin’s critical acclaim, it did not quieten the anticipation for The Batman Part II.
Between Reeves’ fresh interpretation of the character, the room for Pattinson’s version to evolve, and Batman’s extensive rogues gallery and storylines, the franchise has incredible potential and thus has kept fans eager to see its continuation.The Batman Part II is scheduled for an October 2027 release after multiple delays.
