For their most recent music video, “Go,” a single from their new album “Deadline,” South Korean pop girl group Blackpink picked futuristic-inspired clothing from Vietnamese fashion brand Feng.

The four members, Lisa, Jennie, Rose and Jisoo appeared in body-contouring silhouettes with cutout accents at the waist and chest in the music video, which was released on Friday.

Custom pieces

Blackpink’s stylist Jang Hee Jun personally contacted Feng’s designer Lim Feng to commission custom pieces for the group.

The design team worked on the outfits for more than a week, going through several rounds of revisions to satisfy the demands of the production.

The garments were made with careful consideration for materials and structure to provide flexibility and durability to sustain the new song’s intense choreography.

The brand said that it was “fortunate and happy” to create custom designs for the first time for each of the four members of the world-renowned group.

Feng’s designs were previously worn by Jennie in her solo music video “Zen” and promotional posters for her song “Red Light.”

Designer Lim Feng (born Phung Ai Nguyen) and her younger brother Dylan (born Phung Quang Dat) formed Feng in late 2021.

The brand is renowned for its daring style and incorporation of 3D technology into modern fashion design.

Long-awaited group comeback

Blackpink made their debut in 2016 under YG Entertainment and have been referred to as the agency’s “golden goose.”

Over nearly 10 years, the group has published two studio albums and generated many hit songs, establishing a global presence in both music and fashion.

The total number of views on their official YouTube channel has exceeded 30 billion.

In 2023, over 60,000 people attended Blackpink’s two concert nights in Ha Noi.

In the same year, all four members left YG Entertainment for personal pursuits, but the company continues to handle their group promotions.

After a string of successful solo endeavors, the group got back together this year with the release of “Deadline.”
