Watch a movie. Pause halfway through. Boot up “Hogwarts Legacy”—all without leaving the same app. That’s the future Amazon is betting on as it brings its cloud gaming service, Luna, directly into Prime Video, allowing subscribers to switch between streaming shows and playing games from a single platform.
Luna is now available in the streaming app via Fire TV products in the US and UK, with support for further devices and countries expected in the coming months.
The all-in-one entertainment app
Rather than opening a separate Luna application, eligible users will now find a dedicated Games tab inside Prime Video alongside Movies, TV Shows, Live TV, and Sports.
From there, players can instantly launch cloud-streamed games without downloading them or owning a gaming console.
The library includes “Hogwarts Legacy,” “EA Sports FC 26,” “Dispatch,” “Fallout 4,” “Alan Wake II,” “Control: Ultimate Edition,” and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.”
There are also party games, including “Clue,” “Exploding Kittens,” “Jackbox,” “Tetris,” “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” and “Ticket to Ride.”

No console? No problem
Jeff Gattis, GM of gaming for Amazon, says the goal is not to compete with console gaming but rather to reach a wide audience of casual gamers who might want to try their hand at games without having to buy a dedicated gaming device.
He said cloud gaming removes many of the traditional barriers by streaming games directly over the internet, much like movies and TV shows.
Game streaming wars
The move comes as competition in cloud gaming is heating up.
Netflix has also been expanding its gaming ambitions through exclusive mobile titles, phone-as-controller experiences, and the recently launched Netflix Playground, a kid-focused gaming app for children aged eight and below.
With Luna on Prime Video, Amazon is betting that the next thing users do after finishing an episode is picking up a controller.
