American singer-songwriter Jessica Elizabeth Sanchez is set to return to the America’s Got Talent stage after 20 years.
The artist was seen in the newest trailer of the 2025 edition of the American television show.
“I was actually on the very first season of AGT,” she said during the teaser.
Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B will serve as judges for this year.
Sanchez first appeared on America’s Got Talent during its first season when she was just 10 years old.
During her first stint in the competition, Sanchez failed to reach the semi-finals.
She was recalled for the Wild Card Show and performed Hillsong Worship’s “I Surrender.”
Judges Piers Morgan, Brandy Norwood, and David Hasselhoff gave their “yes” to the young artist, but she failed to earn enough votes to secure her spot in the next round.
Second chance
Fans are excited for the return of Sanchez on stage since she also finished as runner-up during the 11th season of American Idol.
The half-Filipina singer shared her excitement for her return to the AGT stage on Instagram.
“Being 10 years old on AGT played such a massive role in me believing in something bigger for myself, for my voice.”
“What a huge blessing it is to be able to come back and chase after my dreams again after 20 years. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me,” she said in her post.
Her supporters also shared their excitement for her return to the AGT stage on social media despite establishing her name in the music industry.
Sanchez will be sharing the stage with aspiring singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, acrobats, and other dreamers once the show starts on May 27.

Married life
The 29-year-old artist admitted in an interview that her husband, Rickie Gallardo, has been really supportive of her singing career after joining AGT’s first season and American Idol’s 11th edition.
Sanchez and Gallardo got married privately in 2021, but the singer only revealed her married status in 2023.
She travelled to the Philippines two years ago for a series of shows.
She was also the main performer at the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant.
“Marriage has really calmed me down.”
“I love my husband and I think it just changed me for the better, he changed me for the better. I’ve grown a lot,” she said in an interview with ABS CBN.
