Stray Kids’ international popularity was further cemented on Thursday, September 5 after their tenth album, ‘This & That’, earned a gold certification in France — a remarkable achievement reached nearly a month after its release.
France’s National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing, the country’s major recording industry body, honoured the group with this certification for successfully surpassing the 50,000-mark of combined sales, including physical copies, digital downloads, and streaming, the group’s agency, JYP Entertainment, confirmed.
‘This & That’ now becomes the sixth collection to receive gold status, joining ‘5-Star’ and ‘Rock-Star’, both released in 2023.
The repeated recognition proves the strong influence of the band’s fanbase in the French market, a noteworthy feat for a K-pop act competing in a market long shaped by domestic and English-language pop.
Gold status aside, Stray Kids were also busy dominating the stateside charts throughout their August comeback.
‘This & That’ swiftly ranked No.1 on the United States’ premier albums chart, Billboard 200, upon debut and became the band’s overall ninth chart-topping album, placing them among an elite tier of acts with similar historic milestones.

What’s even more admirable is that they attained the second-highest total of Billboard 200 No.1 albums ever recorded.
Stray Kids currently tie with The Rolling Stones for second place, while The Beatles remain first with 19.
Thanks to their growing record in France and their consistent run on Billboard, the group continues to demonstrate their commercial strength in two very different markets at once, no matter the exploration of their music genre.
Meanwhile, their ‘Run It’ World Tour has since rolled through Nagoya, and further stops in Osaka, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore are already on the books into early 2027.
The tour started at Seoul’s KSPO Dome with five sold-out shows before making history at Tokyo’s National Stadium.
