Global girl group Katseye is currently facing a wave of public criticism following the sudden postponement of their highly anticipated, sold-out Detroit tour stop.
The announcement, issued just thirty minutes before the scheduled showtime, left thousands of concertgoers feeling shocked, confused, and frustrated by the abrupt change of plans.
The unexpected disruption took place on Tuesday evening at the Little Caesars Arena, during the ongoing North American Wildworld Tour.
According to official statements released via online channels, the group’s management decided to halt the performance after band member Megan fell “suddenly ill” and unable to take the stage.

Late postponement angers fans
While health priorities clearly require immediate rest, the late notification window amplified mounting tensions among attendees.
Many of the supporters said they had traveled distances and invested heavily in transportation, VIP passes, and overnight lodging just to be in the event.
“The issue isn’t that they cancelled/rescheduled, it’s that they did it 30 mins before the show,” @alexymendez commented on a TikTok video of a fan (@amariskyyy) venting her frustration about what happened.
“This is so irresponsible considering they did a soundcheck,” @dianabannaanna added.
In some clips, parents show videos of their kids crying.
“Artists that do this should be liable to pay for everyone’s non-refundable hotel and travel costs. That’s ridiculous,” @ginnythinksloud said in a featured TikTok video for The Straits Times, Singapore’s national newspaper.
“The fact that kids took so much time to actually dress up :(,” @fanssmierulaimann67 expressed.
Date will be rescheduled
In response to the swelling backlash, venue administrators confirmed that all original tickets will remain honored for a yet to be determined rescheduled date, though a formal timeline has not been established.
Katseye’s management has already expressed sincere regret over the sudden interruption.
