Taylor Swift has secured another major achievement on the Billboard Hot 100, as her single “Opalite” rose to No. 1 this week.

The track has become Swift’s 14th career chart-topper, further cementing her standing among the most commercially successful artists in modern music.

“Opalite” marks the second No. 1 single from Swift’s 12th studio album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, and signals a continued run of dominance for the project.

The achievement places Swift in a tie with Rihanna for the third-most No. 1 hits in the chart’s history. Only The Beatles and Mariah Carey remain ahead in total Hot 100 leaders.

Swift responds on Instagram

Swift acknowledged the milestone in a celebratory Instagram post, sharing behind-the-scenes images from the studio and the “Opalite” music video set.

Swift’s message to fans included: “Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 — you guys just got this song!!”

In her message to fans, she reflected on the numbers behind the chart achievement while emphasizing her gratitude.

“I know that’s a lot of numbers but it all adds up to me being so thankful to the fans who helped make this happen by welcoming this song into your lives with open arms,” Swift quotes.

The post offered a glimpse into the creative process behind the track, including candid recording sessions and moments from the video shoot.

Continued dominance on the Hot 100

Industry analysts note that Swift’s continued ability to generate No. 1 hits more than a decade into her career reflects both her sustained commercial appeal and her adaptability within a shifting music landscape.

With “Opalite” now at the summit of the Hot 100, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ extends its cultural and chart impact, reinforcing Swift’s status as one of the defining pop figures of her generation.

As the numbers continue to grow, Swift’s message remains focused less on statistics and more on the listeners who drive them – a formula that, once again, has delivered a chart-topping result.
