Multi-time WWE world champion Sheamus is set to depart the company, according to a report.
A pro-wrestling news website stated that the 48-year-old will leave the company once his contract expires.
The report also noted that Sheamus “rejected a restructured extension” and was not released from the company.
The Irishman has been with the WWE for almost 19 years, and has multiple championship wins in his illustrious career.
He won the WWE championship six months after his debut in the main roster, beating John Cena in a “Tables Match” in the “TLC” event in 2009.
“The Celtic Warrior” also won the “King of the Ring” tournament in 2010, and won the “Royal Rumble” in 2012.
Sheamus then proceeded to win the World Heavyweight Championship in the same year at “WrestleMania XXVIII”, where he defeated Daniel Bryan in under 20 seconds.
His last match for the company was also Cena’s last “Raw”, where they teamed up with Rey Mysterio to defeat the Judgment Day back in November.
Sheamus was then sidelined due to a shoulder injury.

Intercontinental Championship woes
Before news broke of his impending departure, Sheamus posted a screenshot of ChatGPT stating that he has the most unsuccessful attempts to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Sheamus has been vying for the belt to be a Grand Slam Champion, as the Intercontinental Championship has eluded him for his entire stay at the company.
However, when news broke that he was leaving the WWE, he removed his moniker in his social media accounts and changed it to his real name: S. Farrelly.
On Sunday, Sheamus was moved to the alumni section of the WWE website.
AEW-bound?
When a WWE superstar leaves the company, they usually go to its rival, All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
If Sheamus makes the jump, he could reunite with Claudio Castignoli, formerly known as Cesaro in the WWE.
Sheamus and Cesaro both won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship and WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship five times during their time as The Bar.
The hard-hitting duo dominated the tag team division during the late 2010s, and they could replicate tag-team success in AEW.
Sheamus could also run it back against Adam Copeland, previously known as Edge.
Edge had a stunning career before leaving the WWE in 2023, where he faced Sheamus during his last match with the company before joining AEW.
