After weeks of hostility and violence, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu will once again lock horns in a “Tribal Combat” match on Sunday at “Clash in Italy”.

This marks Fatu’s second chance at Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship, as the two fought at “Backlash” earlier in the month with the champion successfully defending his belt.

However, Fatu launched a vicious post-match assault on Reigns to make a statement, implying he is not done on his quest to achieve championship gold.

Fatu and Reigns went back-and-forth attacking each other in the weeks after their initial match, with no end in sight in their hostilities.

However, a definitive solution was presented by Fatu, who challenged Reigns in “Tribal Combat”.

Fatu lays out the challenge

In last week’s episode of “Raw” Fatu called out Reigns, but the Usos, allies of the “OTC”, came out to remind “The Samoan Werewolf” that he lost at “Backlash”.

The Usos, who were attacked by Fatu a week prior, tried to get back at their cousin but Fatu was more than enough to thwart the duo.

Reigns came out to rescue Jimmy and Jey as the three stopped a rabid Fatu.

However, as Reigns and the Usos were taking their exit, a winded Fatu called out once again on

the champion, simply stating: “Tribal Combat”.

Reigns grabbed a microphone and accepted his cousin’s challenge.

“Tribal Combat” is a no-disqualification match unique to the Anoaʻi wrestling dynasty, which Reigns, Fatu and the Usos are a part of.

The first of its kind was between Reigns and Jey Uso in 2023, as the two Samoans fought for the leadership of the Anoaʻi family, which is the reward for winning “Tribal Combat”.

Blood oath

In the latest episode of “Raw”, Reigns and Fatu signed the contract for their upcoming match in the presence of “Raw” General Manager Adam Pearce and a line of security personnel to separate the two combatants.

“Leave us,” Reigns then stated, as he informed Pearce that the signing of the contract is similar to taking a blood oath, adding that the two cannot attack each other until “Tribal Combat” commences in Italy.

The two then exchanged a war of words, as Reigns reminded his opponent that if he is victorious, Fatu will be the head of the family.

“But if you can’t dog walk me, then it looks like I’m gonna be walking you like a dog. I’m going to domesticate you. If you can’t beat me, you will serve me,” Reigns threatened.

Fatu then replied that if he manages to beat Reigns, everybody and the “OTC” will learn to “acknowledge me”, stealing one of Reigns’ catchphrases.
