Chinese stars unite to support Guangxi flood victims after devastating typhoon

A wave of generosity has emerged across China’s entertainment industry as leading artists joined nationwide relief efforts following severe flooding caused by a recent typhoon in Guangxi. 

Through financial donations, emergency supplies and charitable partnerships, celebrities have mobilized to assist affected families and support ongoing recovery operations.

Actors and singers contribute to supply efforts

According to Facebook page Chinese of The Moon, actress Yang Mi partnered with One Foundation to provide boxes containing daily necessities while also funding Post-Disaster Child Service Stations to help children in impacted communities. 

Actress Zhao Lusi, together with the Sichuan Charity Federation’s Little Guardian Fund, donated CNY300,000 to the China Social Welfare Foundation to assist. The funds will support emergency relief, post-disaster resettlement, and long-term reconstruction initiatives in Guangxi.

Yang Yang donated CNY500,000 through the China Social Assistance Foundation, while Cheng Yi contributed CNY1 million through the China Foundation for Rural Development.

Singer and actor Huang Zitao donated CNY500,000 in cash and 4,900 boxes of hygiene supplies worth another CNY500,000, bringing his total contribution to CNY1 million. 

Song Weilong also supported relief operations in Hengzhou, Nanning through the China Siyuan Foundation and the Sina Yangfan Charity Fund. 

Moreover, Zhao Jinmai and Bai Jingting donated through the China Foundation for Rural Development to provide emergency supplies and help families rebuild their homes. 

Noodles, milk and bottled water

Meanwhile, 35 celebrities, including Dilraba, Zhao Liying, Esther Yu, Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Huang Xiaoming, Tong Liya, Bai Lu, Dylan Wang and Zhang Zifeng, joined the “Hand in Hand for Tomorrow” project to deliver a third batch of relief supplies. The shipment included 25,000 barrels of instant noodles, 20,000 boxes of milk, 20,000 self-heating meals and 25,000 bottles of water transported directly to flood-hit communities.

According to reports, relentless rainfall triggered widespread flooding across Guangxi, prompting large-scale rescue and humanitarian operations as communities continue re-building after the disaster.
