iPolice e-Buzz-ER app revolutionizes law enforcement in northern Philippine province

The iPolice e-Buzz-ER mobile application, a cutting-edge tool developed by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 1, has earned official recognition for its role in transforming public safety and community engagement in the Ilocos Region, a province in the northern Philippines.

The app was honored through Resolution No. 29, Series of 2024, issued by the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) during its 4th Quarter Meeting. The award highlights the app’s effectiveness in enhancing law enforcement responsiveness, empowering citizens, and leveraging technology to create safer communities.

Under the leadership of P/BrigGen Lou Evangelista, PRO 1 developed the iPolice e-Buzz-ER to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the public.

“The iPolice e-Buzz-ER app is part of our commitment to expedite emergency responses and enhance our service to the public,” Evangelista said in an interview with the Philippine Information Agency.

Cutting-edge features

The app’s award-winning features include Real-Time Crime Reporting, allowing residents to directly report suspicious activities, crimes, or emergencies for swift police action; 24/7 Emergency Assistance, which provides a one-touch emergency button connecting users to the nearest police station; Community Feedback & Collaboration, enabling users to share safety concerns and suggestions to foster transparency and cooperation; and Crime Prevention Education, which offers guidance on crime prevention strategies to keep communities informed and secure.

Residents have praised the app’s efficiency, with users reporting faster police responses and increased confidence in local authorities.

A community member shared, “This is a game-changer. The iPolice e-Buzz-ER app offers a convenient and secure way to report incidents and connect with law enforcement. I feel more confident knowing that help is just a few taps away.”
