At the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a defining pop culture moment unfolded as Billie Eilish transitioned from devoted fan to center stage – literally – during Justin Bieber’s headline set.

During the event’s second weekend, Bieber revived his signature performance of “One Less Lonely Girl”, a tradition from his early career in which he serenades a chosen fan onstage.

This time, however, the “fan” was none other than Grammy-winning artist Eilish, long known for her admiration of Bieber.

In a surprise orchestrated during Bieber’s nostalgic performance, Eilish was pulled from the audience and brought onstage in front of thousands.

Visibly emotional, the 24-year-old singer covered her face, teared up and even dropped to her knees as the moment unfolded – capturing the hearts of fans both at the festival and online.

Eilish a lifelong ‘Belieber’

The emotional significance of the moment runs deep. Eilish has frequently spoken about being a lifelong “Belieber”, crediting Bieber as one of her earliest inspirations for pursuing music.

Their relationship has since evolved, from fan and idol to collaborators and peers, having previously worked together on a remix of Eilish’s breakthrough hit “Bad Guy”.

The performance also highlighted Bieber’s continued connection to his fanbase.

On nss magazine’s TikTok account, netizens responded with positive remarks and joy to the video clip of Eilish and Biebers’s encounter. The video gained 16.9 million views as of this writing.

“Billie Eilish getting serenaded by her childhood crush (with crying emojis),” one netizen commented.

“Luckiest belieber in the world btw,” another reacted.

Originally released in 2009, “One Less Lonely Girl” became one of his most iconic songs, known for its interactive live performances.
