The UK’s music festival season is well underway and now that the rain has arrived, it means only one thing — it’s time for Glastonbury.

Welcoming over 200,000 music lovers across five days, Worthy Farm hosts one of the most famous music events in the world.

Starting on Wednesday, June 25, the 900-acre site has over 80 stages, showcasing hundreds of artists across the music industry.

Indie band The 1975, rock legend Neil Young and US pop star Olivia Rodrigo will be headlining the famous Pyramid Stage this year.

But will there be any local faces?

If you’re lucky enough to be one of this year’s festival goers then here is our guide to some of the Scouse acts to look out for.

The Searchers

The Merseybeat band will be using their Glastonbury performance as a final farewell, saying it will be their “last ever show.”

Despite touring for over 70 years, this will actually be the band’s Glastonbury debut.

Catch them on Friday, June 27 on the Acoustic Stage.

Camelphat

Widely known on the Liverpool club scene, Camelphat, made up of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, will be entertaining the night owls at the Lonely Hearts Club on Friday, June 27.

Fans will be hoping to hear their top ten hit Cola, with some older ravers perhaps even hoping for a rendition of the Scouse House anthem — Pretty Green Eyes.

Red Rum Club

After their belting gig at Aintree Racecourse in May, the Indie band will be playing the Leftfield Stage on Sunday, June 29.

Known for their number one hit single ‘Would You Rather Be Lonely,’ the group will be hoping to continue their string of well received performances this year.

Jamie Webster

A famous fixture on the Liverpool FC music scene, Jamie Webster will be bringing his unique sound to the Leftfield Stage on Sunday, June 29.

A somewhat ‘marmite’ character (in our household at least), Webster is known as a singer-songwriter who has written and performed some of LFC’s most famous fan anthems.

With Glastonbury usually receiving a large Liverpool contingent, Webster’s anthems should delight the crowd.

Unless, of course, they’re from the blue side of the city.
