Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar returned to the squared circle on last week’s episode of WWE Raw, joining opposite teams ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames event set for November 29.

The rivals came out during a brawl between the team of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) and that of The Vision (Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed), Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre.

Lesnar made an explosive entrance to reveal himself as the last member of the heels, thrashing WWE champion Rhodes.

As he reunited with Paul Heyman on the sidelines, Reigns then came out to attack ‘The Beast Incarnate’, essentially declaring himself as fighting for the face team.

Chaos ensued as security personnel tried and failed to quell the scuffle in Madison Square Garden.

The show ended with Reigns spearing Reed and a police officer through the barricade, while Punk was seen choking Paul with a kendo stick.

Tension amongst heroes

In this week’s episode of Raw, the three powerhouses of the face team opened the show, with tension brewing between Reigns and World Heavyweight Champion Punk.

Punk recalled his past feud with Reigns and said that he is confident that the ‘OTC’ will not stab him in the back.

But he took a jab at how Reigns ran the Bloodline team when they were the dominant force in the industry.

“If you stab me in the back… you’re stabbing your cousins in the back [The Usos], and Roman Reigns wouldn’t be mean to his own family, would he? He wouldn’t put his family between a rock and a hard place would he?” Punk said sarcastically, referring to how Reigns manipulated Jey Uso during their time in the Bloodline.

Reigns then reaffirmed his stance that he does not like both Rhodes and Punk, but he hates Paul, The Vision, and their mouthpiece Heyman more.

“Since we’re being honest tonight, that title would look so much better on my shoulder,” Reigns then said to sow more discord.

“Hey, you talking to me or are you talking to Cody?” asked Punk.

A smiling Reigns said that it is “for you to figure out” as he made his exit, teasing that he is going for either of the champions in the future.

WarGames advantage secured

During the main event, The Usos fought against Paul and McIntyre, with the winner gaining the one-man advantage in the Saturday match.

Paul rolled up Jimmy off a distraction to win the advantage for his side as McIntyre, Reed, Breakker, Rhodes, and Punk all brawled ringside.

Similar to their returns last week, Reigns and Lesnar went to the rescue of their respective teams, ending the show with another brawl as they are geared up for war this Saturday.

As one wrestler from each team enters the ring at a time during the WarGames match, the first wrestler to join the cage will be from the team with the advantage, gaining a two-versus-one edge in the early stage of the bout.
