A tense face-off between World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins exploded into a brawl ahead of their title match on night two of ‘SummerSlam’ which will be held on August 2.
The championship match was made official after Rollins challenged Reigns three weeks ago, setting up another chapter in their long-running rivalry.
During the latest episode of ‘Raw’, Reigns first entered the ring during the last segment of the show, soaking in the cheers and chants from the crowd.
As he was going to mutter his first sentence, he was immediately interrupted by Rollins, who had a confident stride when entering the squared circle.
Rollins pokes the bear
Rollins noted that when it comes to the rivalry between him and Reigns, he admits that he is always the ‘bad guy’.
“When it comes to you and me, I’m the bad guy. And you know what? That’s fine with me…” he started.
“Some of us get everything handed to us on a silver platter, some of us start on third base – not me. People like me, we gotta grind, we gotta hustle, we gotta survive to get ours.”
He then acknowledged that Reigns is the biggest star in the industry, and has an edge over him in “so many departments”, but said that he will always be better than him at professional wrestling.
“You see, when it comes to what goes on in this ring, I said it before, I’ll say it again, I own your ass,” the challenger said.
“And when it comes to what goes on inside that thick skull of yours, I own your ass, too.”
Rollins recalled what Reigns said weeks before that he needs to beat his former Shield brother, but said that the champion does not stand a chance.

Tensions erupt
‘The Tribal Chief’ then doubled down, emphasising that everyone needs to see him emerge victorious.
But the cocky challenger hoped that Reigns’ family would be in attendance at ‘SummerSlam’, adding that he “would love nothing more than to watch them cry again.”
“When they figure out that their daddy is a fraud, their daddy is a loser and their daddy will forever and always be Seth Rollins’ b*tch.”
The words of Rollins ticked off the champion, and Reigns struck his opponent with a microphone.
The irate Samoan unleashed a beat down, and delivered a ‘Superman Punch’ and a ‘Spear’ to the challenger.
Reigns then picked up a chair and stared at it, as it was the same weapon used against him when Rollins first dismantled the Shield tag team back in 2014.
But Rollins recovered in time and managed to hit a ‘Curb Stomp’ to Reigns as he was about to enter the ring.
