June kicks off a particularly cinematic summer that movie fans of all interests can be very excited for.
From mega franchise blockbusters and parody movies, to musical comedies and dark thrillers, these are some of the biggest films to look forward to this June.
Masters of the Universe
‘Masters of the Universe’ is a heroic fantasy film featuring the sword-wielding hero He-Man.
In the film based on Mattel’s media franchise, Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) is led back to his home of Eternia by the Sword of Power, only to find it overrun by the warlock Skeletor (Jared Leto).
Partnering with Teela (Camila Mendes) and Man-at-Arms (Idris Elba), Prince Adam must defeat Skeletor by embracing the heroic destiny he was born with: He-man, the strongest man in the world.

Scary Movie 6
‘Scary Movie’ (2026) is the sixth and newest installation in the 2000s comedy parody franchise produced by the Wayans brothers.
The sequel comes 13 years after the fifth ‘Scary Movie’ and welcomes the return of fan favourite characters, including Cindy (Anna Faris) and Brenda (Regina Hall), Shorty (Marlon Wayans) and Ray (Shawn Wayans).
Considering the franchise’s lengthy break, the 2026 reboot parodies a pool of more recent horror films.
‘Sinners’, ‘The Substance’, ‘Weapons’, ‘Longlegs’, ‘M3GAN’ and ‘Terrifier’ are amongst the parodies, but other horror icons seen in previous ‘Scary Movie’ films like Scream’s Ghostface are also set to feature.

The Death of Robin Hood
Hugh Jackman stars as an older imagining of the iconic archer, Robin Hood.
The A24 film is a dark thriller adaptation of ‘Robin Hood’s Death’, an Early Modern English ballad dating back to the 17th century.
Jackman’s Robin Hood grapples with his gritty past as a criminal and outlaw.
After suffering a critical injury in battle, he finds himself under the care of a mysterious woman, who is seemingly his final chance at salvation.
The film also stars Jodie Comer (‘Killing Eve’) and Bill Skarsgård (‘It’, ‘Nosferatu’).
Supergirl
‘Supergirl’ is the next comic book movie that superhero fans will be looking forward to.
The film features Milly Alcock as Kara or Supergirl, the far more jaded and party-orientated cousin of Superman.
In her solo film debut, Supergirl is celebrating her birthday across the galaxy until she is rerouted into a murderous quest for revenge.
David Corenswet is set to return as Superman after debuting as the character in the 2025 film that launched DC Comic’s new cinematic universe.
Another notable casting is Jason Momoa as the alien bounty hunter Lobo. This is Momoa’s second DC Comics role after portraying Aquaman in DC’s previous live action universe.
Power Ballad
Nick Jonas (The Jonas Brothers) and Paul Rudd (‘Ant-Man’) make up an unlikely duo to lead ‘Power Ballad’, a comedic musical drama.
Both down on their luck, wedding singer Rick (Rudd) and washed up boy band member Danny (Jonas) bond over an impromptu jam session.
However, when Danny steals Rick’s song, it turns into a number one hit that revives the former boy band singer’s career.
Betrayed and left in the dust, the wedding singer is set on a path of revenge to claim the recognition he deserves.
