American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey closed out Anfield’s summer concert season on Saturday night after British songstress Dua Lipa blew the roof off the stadium over two nights earlier in the week.
American legend Bruce Springsteen had wowed fans earlier in the month, even bringing out Liverpool legend Sir Paul McCartney to join him on stage.
One Kiss is all it takes
Originally planned as a single concert, Dua Lipa added a second Liverpool date to her Radical Optimism tour due to huge ticket demand and the crowds were not disappointed.
The 29-year-old entertained fans for over two hours with a setlist packed with hits, including some of her biggest singles from her hugely successful career.
The singer made some special tweaks to honour the home crowd.
Tuesday’s crowds were treated to a special duet between Lipa and lead singer of Liverpool band The Zutons, Dave McCabe.
The pair belted out the band’s iconic song Valerie whilst the crowd swayed in the rain.
On Wednesday, the hitmaker covered The Beatles song Hey Jude, with fans waving their arms in the air and chanting “NA NA NA NA.”
Tuesday’s heavy rain only seemed to amplify the electric atmosphere amongst the crowd on the hallowed pitch as Lipa performed One Kiss for a second time at the home of the Reds.
The popstar enjoys a special bond with the city as Liverpool FC fans have adopted her hit song as an unofficial club anthem.
“I love you Liverpool, let me hear you”, the performer shouted before an image of the Liverpool FC crest appeared on the screens surrounding the stage.

Summertime Sadness
Multi-award winning singer Lana Del Rey returned to Anfield for the first time in more than a decade as part of her summer 2025 tour
The Summertime Sadness singer’s last visit was actually for football rather than to perform.
The Liverpool fan took a guided tour and watched the Reds play Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, even meeting then captain Steven Gerrard.
Lana also performed a version of You’ll Never Walk Alone for a documentary to mark the club’s Premier League title win in 2020.
This time, she was the star.
“Liverpool I am so excited to be here,” the 40-year-old proclaimed before entertaining the crowd with her hits such as Summertime Sadness and Video Games.
She even gave a shout-out to Liverpool FC legend Kenny Dalglish, who was in the crowd.
“I hear we have a legend in the building? King Kenny.”
She added “we’re gonna find him later.”
Anfield’s 2026 concert season will see Billy Joel perform after he postponed this year due to ill health.
