Hollywood actress Meryl Streep was recently seen wearing a shirt from a Vietnamese label while filming “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”
The 76-year-old caught the eye as she shot scenes on the streets of New York City, dressed in a trench coat over a white shirt and wide-leg pants, paired with red heels and fashionable glasses.
Her outfit quickly circulated on platforms like X, Instagram and Threads.
Vietnamese label Moi Dien gains spotlight
The white shirt she wore, named the Nameless Pleated Shirt, is from the Vietnamese brand Moi Dien and retails for nearly VND1.5 million ($63), as reported by Vietnam News.
It’s part of the label’s spring-summer 2025 collection and has become a standout item in Vietnamese fashion communities.
Moi Dien’s signature unisex pleated shirt is made from rayon, a material usually unsuitable for standard pleating methods, giving the piece a unique look.
The handcrafted pleats add volume and are a distinctive element of the brand.
After Streep’s images went viral, orders for the shirt surged.
Designer Tom Trandt told Dan Tri newspaper that during the first days of the buzz, they received new orders every minute, far surpassing previous sales highs.

The Devil Wears Prada… again!
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2026.
In the film, Miranda Priestly (played by Streep) navigates the challenges of a declining publishing industry while facing off against her former assistant, Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt), who has become a major player in the fashion world.
The first “The Devil Wears Prada” film was released in 2006, based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name.
The story follows Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a fresh college graduate who lands a job at the high-profile fashion magazine, Runway.
Over time, her ambition and sharpness earned the approval of formidable editor-in-chief Miranda.
However, in the process, Andy begins to lose her sense of self and grows apart from those closest to her.
According to Box Office Mojo, the film grossed over $325 million worldwide – more than nine times its production cost.
It received two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe, and several other accolades.
