Philippine indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben and Thai-alternative trio Tilly Birds are ready to showcase Southeast Asia’s musical prowess with their upcoming joint single “Heaven”.
Tilly Birds and Ben&Ben first teased their collaboration on September 8 through an Instagram photo of the two bands together, with a caption saying “birdsandbenmusic”.
On September 19, they finally released the official cover for “Heaven”, together with the details of the single’s release.
It will be available on music streaming platforms on September 25.
A music video, which was shot in the Philippines, will also be launched on the same day, according to Billboard Philippines.
What is the story behind ‘Heaven’
The highly-anticipated collaboration was born after Tilly Birds and Ben&Ben met and formed a friendship backstage during a concert in Malaysia, where they were both part of the line-up, an official press release explained.
“Inspired by that connection, the three members of Tilly Birds later flew to Manila to co-write the song with Ben&Ben,” it said.
“Recording sessions spanned across borders, with files exchanged between Bangkok and Manila, until the track was fully brought to life.
“Lyrically, the single captures the joy of meeting someone unexpectedly, at just the right time, and sharing a moment of happiness together—like finding a little piece of heaven on earth.
“In many ways, the collaboration between Tilly Birds and Ben&Ben itself is another definition of ‘Heaven.'”

A new addition to Tilly Birds’ latest full-English singles
Bangkok-based Tilly Birds, led by vocalist Third, guitarist and producer Billy, and drummer Milo – are known for their distinctive, bright, pop-rock tunes influenced by The Beatles and Queen.
The band, however, confessed on their website that their genre is “still mostly undefined” despite over ten years of making music together.
“We always answer ‘alternative’ when someone asks what genre we write in,” the band said.
Tilly Birds go back to their roots
While the trio are famously known for their Thai hit songs ‘Same Page?’ and ‘Just Being Friendly’, Tilly Birds initially started with English singles.
Some of them are ‘Heart in a Cage’ and ‘Like a Dead Man’, released in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
And the band has recently gone back to their roots, releasing a series of full-English singles, including ‘White Pills’ and ‘Retro-39’ in 2024, and the latest, ‘Never A Waste Of Time’, in July 2025.
‘Heaven’ will be the newest addition to their full-English discography.
For Ben&Ben, meanwhile, ‘Heaven’ will be their second collaboration with a foreign artist.
In 2021, they released a re-recording of their single ‘Leaves’ featuring YoungK, a member of South Korean band DAY6.
Ben&Ben, formed by twin brothers Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, are famous for their emotional songs with lyrics often focused on loss, heartbreak and self-love.
Among their well-known singles are ‘Leaves’ and ‘Kathang Isip’.
