Vietnam has launched its national tourism data platform “Visit Vietnam,” aiming to build an integrated database for destination information, reviews, and travel service bookings.
The ecosystem was introduced by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), the National Data Association (NDA), and real estate developer Sun Group during a conference on tourism data in the digital economy.
Major Dao Duc Trieu, NDA secretary general, called the launch a milestone in developing a public-private tourism data ecosystem that connects multiple data sources to support state management, business growth, and better visitor experiences.
AI travel assistant with blockchain security
A key feature of Visit Vietnam is the use of advanced technologies, including an artificial intelligence (AI) travel assistant that can create automated trip plans and handle bookings, as reported by Vietnam News.
The NDAchain.vn platform provides decentralized authentication for reliable and transparent information. Blockchain and tokenization security protocols will ensure data verification and protection.
The ecosystem also integrates services from transport, accommodation, and dining to nationwide loyalty programs.
Visit Vietnam is designed to help travelers search for services, make bookings, and explore local culture, while allowing businesses to capture market trends and create personalized products, and enabling government agencies to make data-driven policies.

Tourism super app
The development roadmap starts in October with the launch of the national platform and the National Tourism Dashboard 1.0 for government use.
By the second quarter of 2026, the platform will be opened to the public, offering trust-based trip planning tools.
In 2027, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit will serve as Visit Vietnam’s international debut, featuring direct booking systems, AI-powered itinerary suggestions, and a data-as-a-service model for businesses.
After 2027, it aims to evolve into a comprehensive tourism super app, enabling one-touch ticket booking and multimedia integration.
Digital technology key to breakthroughs
VNAT Director Nguyen Trung Khanh highlighted that tourism is a bright spot in Vietnam’s 2025 socioeconomic growth, targeting 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic tourists this year.
He stressed that digital technology and a unified national data ecosystem are key to breakthroughs, sustainable growth, effective management, and improved service quality.
VNAT, NDA, Sun Group, Visa, Mastercard, and Trip.com have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop the platform.
Under the deal, NDA will oversee policy and certification, Sun Group will handle technology development and operations, while VNAT will promote the project and engage the business community.
The launch of Visit Vietnam marks a major step in tourism digitalization, enhancing the country’s competitiveness, boosting international connectivity, and driving sustainable development.
