The popular series “I’m a Celebrity…”, hosted by Ant and Dec, is a survival reality TV show where celebrities compete against each other while living in the wild and facing unpredictable creatures.

Contestants face challenges to win food for the group – very necessary if you don’t want to live on beans and rice for 3 weeks – with viewers will voting for their favourite celebrity to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.

“I’m a Celebrity…” spinoff

“I’m a Celebrity Legends” is the second series of returning contestants – a spin off show of the original “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here”.

It will take place in South Africa, featuring former contenders from Olympic legends to soap actors.

The 12 returning celebrities will be facing challenges from April 6 at 9pm.

This time round, the series has been pre-recorded, unlike the live Australian series.

Viewers will have the opportunity to decide who is crowned the Jungle legend of 2026 through a live broadcast of the grand finale in London.

Let’s meet the campmates and take a look at who is awaiting their redemption.

Adam Thomas

The first name announced for the spin off show is ex emmerdale actor Adam Thomas.

He finished 3rd place in his series back in 2016, but 10 years later, he has his sights on becoming king of the jungle.

During his time in the Australian jungle he completed a total of 16 Bushtrucker trials, stating in an interview that “he had never felt fear like it”.

Ashley Roberts

Singer and Radio DJ, Ashley Roberts, was a runner-up in 2012.

She is best known for the 2000s girl group, The Pussycat Dolls, and has now moved to presenting for Heart Breakfast.

The 45-year-old stated how nervous she was to appear in the series again: but it was an opportunity that she couldn’t refuse.

Beverley Callard

Beverley Callard is best known for starring in the soap show Coronation Street.

She appeared in the “I’m a Celebrity…” series during the Covid pandemic in 2020, landing at 10th place.

Her series took place in a castle in Wales. This year she takes the opportunity of the traditional jungle experience with hopes to come further than last time.

Craig Charles

During the 2014 season, actor and DJ Craig Charles appeared in 11th place after having to pull out of the show just a day after Gemma Collins.

His experience was cut short after the tragic passing of his brother Dean. This time round, Craig will get the opportunity to fully experience the jungle life.

David Haye

Ex-boxing champion, David Haye, appeared in the 2012 series.

He was almost crowned king of the jungle, being the last man standing on the podium but was placed at 3rd.

He’s hinted at making the campsite a little ‘saucier’ after his series was accordingly ‘chilled.’

Gemma Collins

Reality TV star, ‘The Gc’, formerly known as Gemma Collins, is best known for her appearances in “The Only Way is Essex” and “Celebrity Big Brother”.

She was placed 12th in the 2014 Australian series after she withdrew 72 hours into the experience due to anxiety, stating: “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here, I can’t do it, I have to go.”

In 2026 she returns to the jungle, hoping to redeem herself since the regretful decision to leave during her first experience.

Harry Redknapp

The 2018 king of the jungle returns. Will he be crowned for a second time?

Legendary football manager for multiple clubs including West Ham United, will appear as a late entrant in the upcoming series.

He stated, “King Harry is back!”

Jimmy Bullard

The former premier league footballer placed last in the 2014 season.

During his 17 days in the jungle, he took part in 5 Bushtrucker trials. Will he get further this time?

Sir Mo Farah

In 2020, the Olympic champion and track athlete was placed 5th.

Mo Farah experienced the 2020 Covid series set in a castle in Wales, just like Beverley Callard. This year he enters the South African jungle ready to face his fear of snakes.

Scarlett Moffatt

The 2016 queen of the jungle is ready to strike again.

Scarlett Moffatt, the Gogglebox star, stated how she was feeling apprehensive about returning to the show.

Since then, she has appeared on Ant and Dec’s show “Saturday night Takeaway”, and has had life changing experiences such as the birth of her first child.

Seann Walsh

Seann Walsh, best known for being a stand up comedian, appeared on the 2020 series coming in 5th place.

And he is more determined than ever to come further than last time.

Sinitta

The X-Factor mentor and 80s popstar, Sinitta, was the 2nd person to be eliminated in the 2011 season.

She hopes to return to the series to conquer her fears of… everything: “It is quite debilitating being afraid of everything.”

Hopefully she’ll be around for a lot longer this time.
