The hit Netflix mini-series ‘Adolescence’ brought home eight awards at the 2025 Emmy Awards, including the prize for the best limited series.

15-year-old Owen Cooper won the award for supporting actor in a limited or anthology series, making history as the youngest male winner ever.

“I think tonight proves that if you listen, and you focus, and you step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life,” he said on stage.

“I was nothing about three years ago, and I’m here now.”

In the show, Cooper plays a teenager who has been accused of killing a classmate.

Veteran actor Stephen Graham plays the role of his father, while ‘The Crown’ actress Erin Doherty appears as a clinical psychologist who interviews the teen.

Both won awards throughout the night, for lead actor in a limited or anthology series and supporting actress in a limited or anthology series, respectively.

‘The Studio’ calls the shots, ‘The Pitt’ collects wins

Apple TV+ comedy series ‘The Studio’ was the biggest winner of the night, picking up four awards for an overall total of 13. It was the most awarded comedy ever.

Seth Rogen’s Hollywood satire picked up the honours for best comedy series, best directing for a comedy series, and best writing for a comedy series, among others.

Rogen also won the prize for best lead actor in a comedy series.

“Thank you, I am legitimately embarrassed by how happy this makes me,” he told the star-studded audience.

Medical drama ‘The Pitt’ was awarded five Emmys.

Noah Wyle, of ‘E.R.’, won the Emmy for best lead actor in a drama series, and the show also brought home the award for the best drama series of the year.

Set in a hospital over the course of 15-hour shifts of its medical staff, the HBO Max show

takes place in real-time and does not shy away from showing the daily challenges of healthcare workers.

Two awards for ‘Severance’

Finally, dystopian drama ‘Severance’ won (only) two awards this year, but they were no small feat.

Tramell Tillman, the show’s iconic Mr. Milchick, won the prize for the best supporting actor in a drama series, while Britt Lower, who plays Helly, brought home the honour for best lead actress in a drama series.
