The popular UK content creator collective, the Sidemen, launched the first episode of their new show ‘Exit Strategy’ following the recent success of their Netflix series ‘Inside’.
The show, which releases in free weekly episodes on YouTube, will put 10 contestants in an “endless maze” full of challenges and twists for a £10,000 prize.
The Sidemen: The internet’s biggest friend group
After forming in 2013, the British friends attracted an audience through football and gaming videos, as well as their unreplicatable onscreen chemistry.
The group has seven members, including Britain’s Got Talent judge, boxer and rapper, KSI.
They have since evolved into one of the most impactful entities on the internet and are one of the longest lasting and most successful social media groups ever formed.
On their main Youtube channel, the group has consistently shared weekly long-form content in a system known as Sidemen Sundays, and they have amassed over 23 million subscribers.
However, once you include the additional Sidemen channels and the personal channels of their members, their accumulative count of supporters climbs far beyond 150 million.
The massive scale and popularity of the group has led them to pursue many successful business ventures.
These include a clothing brand, a restaurant chain, an annual charity football match, a subscription service, a vodka line, a venture capital firm, and recently, a chart-topping Netflix series.

Making it “Inside” Netflix
Although the Sidemen have repeatedly achieved new heights as content creators, their partnership with Netflix in 2025 marked a significant milestone in their legacy.
In the reality show ‘Inside’, 10 internet icons, reality stars and athletes are locked away from technology for a chance at £1,000,000.
The only twist is that during their week inside, they will face challenges and temptations which drain the prize pool until only one player remains.
‘Inside’ repeatedly hit Netflix’s number one spot with the release of its second and third seasons, as well as its US edition.
However, the show’s first season premiered somewhere else entirely – the Sidemen YouTube channel – before later being added to Netflix with season two’s release.
The show’s massive viewership online led to the streaming giant’s acquisition of ‘Inside’ and a revolutionary partnership that continues to produce successful seasons.
‘Exit Strategy’
The first of four episodes of the Sidemen’s new escape room show premiered on their second channel on Tuesday, May 19.
Unlike the diverse ‘Inside’ ensembles, the contestants of ‘Exit Strategy’ are 10 of the collective’s frequent collaborators – including two of the Sidemen themselves, Ethan “Behzinga” Payne and Harry “Wroetoshaw” Lewis.
In the show’s opening monologue, it is described as an “endless maze” with unpredictable rooms, competitive challenges, and unfair rules.
The reception to the first episode has been extremely positive, with viewers applauding the group’s relentless content innovations.
“Just when you think they ran out of ideas, they come out with this,” reads the most liked comment on episode one.
Other comments speculate whether this is the launch of another eventual Netflix collaboration, or the start of more episodic content formats.
‘Exit Strategy’ episodes release weekly on Tuesdays on the MoreSidemen YouTube channel.
