On the latest episode of ‘SmackDown’, Logan Paul challenged John Cena to a match in the upcoming event “Clash in Paris” which will be held on August 31 at the Paris La Défense Arena.
The challenge was issued when Cena was addressing the crowd for the first time after losing the WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at “SummerSlam”.
Following his loss, he was then attacked by a returning Brock Lesnar, who is currently named in a lawsuit filed against the company and former WWE executive Vince McMahon.
Prior to his match with Rhodes, Cena also abruptly returned to being a face after turning heel for the first time in over 10 years.
“I’m afraid that no matter how much I can give to you in this limited time, that I’ll never be enough and I’m just going to end up letting y’all down,” an emotional Cena stated, as he is currently on a retirement tour which ends in December.
“And I’ll also admit that I’m very afraid of after I’m gone, and the WWE moves on as it should, you guys are going to forget about me,” Cena continued, as the crowd exclaimed and all shouted “no” repeatedly.
“I’ve got all these fears on my mind, heck, I’m even afraid of Brock Lesnar.”
The 17-time champion then reassured the crowd that he will never back down against the returning “Beast Incarnate”.
“Am I afraid? Hell yes. I’m afraid Brock Lesnar got himself a John Cena problem,” Cena screamed as he pumped up the fans.

Paul wants Cena
A hyped up Cena then called out Lesnar and everyone in the locker room who wants to challenge the “Last Real Champion”.
Paul, who as a heel Cena earlier partnered up with, emerged to answer his callout.
Cena gladly accepted Paul’s challenge, but the controversial YouTuber wanted the match to take place at the Paris event.
Before Cena could even accept, a rabid Drew McIntyre blindsided Cena as Paul also joined in the beatdown.
Rhodes then came out to help his former foe out as a tag team match was set for the night’s main event.
“Logan Paul against John Cena, ‘Clash in Paris’, I accept. But it seems you two want a fight. And it seems like I have a partner,” Cena said, referring to Rhodes.
However, the night ended with the dastardly duo on top, as Paul delivered a low blow to Cena, ending the match in a disqualification.
McIntyre also set his sights on the WWE Championship, hitting Rhodes in the head with the belt after the main event.
“The Scottish Psychopath” then delivered a brutal “Claymore” to the champion through the announce table to end the show.
