Filipino singer-songwriter Maki and SB19 member Justin will be teaming up once more for a new love song, “Dahon.”
Maki, who is known for his hit song “Kahel na Langit” and his “Kolorcoaster” album, is contributing to the new single as its songwriter, the P-pop group member said.
In a press statement, Justin said that the song lyrically captures “romance in its purest form.”
A love that grows through time
“Dahon” (translating to “Leaf”) talks about a resilient and enduring love.
“It’s a song about love that blossoms, thrives and grows through time,” Justin said, as reported by ABS-CBN News.
“It stands like a firm tree that survives the biggest adversity and the only constants in life: change and time.”
He explained that Maki is a fitting choice for the song because the star’s ‘creativity and branding’ closely complement Justin’s vision and style preferences.
“Working with him is not only a great opportunity for my career but also an incredible experience,” he added.
‘Dahon’ will be released on June 19 and will be accessible on all digital music platforms globally through Sony Music Entertainment.
